Big 4 Audit, Advisory, IBD?

yo guys I am a sophomore finance and accounting major at a business school that ranks in the bottom half of the top 100. I have also just completed a 6 month finance/accounting co-op with Johnson and Johnson. GPA 3.5

I recently attending E&Y's Emerging Leaders Program and was offered an internship in assurance-external audit.. They are letting me choose if I want to take the internship in the Summer of 2012 or Summer 2013... I will graduate in the Summer of 2014 with 150 credits. (5 year double major)

I have a few questions...

  1. Should I take the internship 2012 or 2013?

  2. I was also asked if i was interested in advisory (which I am, Real Estate Transaction stands out the most to me) and if i was, I would have to take a 2nd round interview that consisted of a written portion and case study. Should I have went for it? I was thinking maybe I could intern in audit in 2012 and then advisory in 2013.

3.Finally, could I get an internship in investment banking with the experience I have had with great companies so early in my career? No IB's recruit at my school but I am also my schools mascot so I am hoping that will make me stand out

If your end goal is IB definitely try to do advisory asap. I would NOT do an audit internship your junior year if you want to work in banking, do something more relevant (i.e. corporate/commercial banking creidt analyst internship, F500 finance, etc)
