Carlyle Credit Comp
Anyone know what comp is like in Carlyle’s illiquid credit group? Is everyone in this group based in NY or are they spread out between Chicago, SF, DC, LA?

Worked across from them in banking. With a few exceptions, everyone is in NYC...I think there are a few energy people in Houston and one ex-THL guy in LA from what I remember. I got the sense that hours were something in the 70-80 ballpark and I don't have a good sense of comp but I would imagine it's in the $250-300 range at the associate level, similar to some of the other MF credit arms.
Thanks, SBed. I was curious because I’m trying to gauge which MFs have the best ratio of hours & comp. I’d imagine they’d be about the same, but Apollo has a bad reputation so likely wouldn’t be worth a few extra $$$.
are you in levfin or restructuring right now? what make you interested in credit?
Curious what the comp differential is between liquid & illiquid credit groups? At the assoc level
They standardize comp across liquid/illiquid credit. The liquid credit group is the cash cow from a fee perspective
Is there a difference in hours from liquid/illiquid?
10 comments and still no actual numbers
Bump - any numbers on associate 1 comp in the liquid group?
There was a data point in the Lit survey for Carlyle Infra Credit of $125 base + $125 bonus for Aso2.
This seems pretty low from what I've heard… analysts nowadays getting hired into MF credit/distressed arms are getting ~200-225k all in right out of undergrad. Associates are definitely north of 300k
If you have data on BXPE figures for analysts I would appreciate the data point. P
200-225k - BX pays same across investing strategies on junior level
