Check my cold e-mail template for VC/Start-ups
Hey. I am about to send cold e-mails - mostly to VCs - for an Analyst role. Tell me what do you think about my template. Any revisions appreciated.

I have worked in Investment Banking team at [IB boutique] as well as in Transaction and M&A groups at [Big 4 Company] and [Big 4 Company]. You can find my resume attached.
I am very interested in start ups, venture capital industry and technology sector (especially mobile and gaming), and particularly in your firm. Would it be possible to have a quick chat on your convenience? I would be very grateful for an opportunity to discuss this with you.

Sounds good to me. It is a bit informal but I guess it would be an excellent fit for culture at VCs in US. If this is in Europe definitely go with more formal language at first, especially in continental Europe. Asia too.
This is good. I am at a European VC and would look at your CV based on this, were we looking for an analyst.
Thanks a lot for your help! I think I will stick with rather informal language for Europe, but make it more formal for Asia.
One more thing - apart from ibanking experience I've also tried to set up my start up - I've formed a team, we created an app prototype, did a nice power point deck and pitched it to investors - with no luck. Do you think I should list this in my Resume in Other Information section? Like this:
Entreprenurial activity: Set up mobile app start up, formed a team, created alpha version, pitched our idea to investors Languages: [Languages] Interests: [Interestes]
There are a number of grammatical errors in that Template.

should read "I have worked in The Investment Banking Team at [IB boutique]"

If you want to talk about your failed entrepreneurial venture, be ready to defend your choice to give up on the idea. I say this because it seems that everyone and their grandmother talks about being an entrepreneur these days, and you don't want the legitimacy of your startup to be questioned.
This is false. Startups and VCs love seeing entrepreneurial endeavors, even if failed. Having founded or worked at a failed startup is closer to a rite of passage in Silicon Valley nowadays more than a liability. I think given the breadth and length of experience limiting this to one line is ideal.
Just to make myself more clear, you should only talk about your entrepreneurial experience if what you was a legitimate entrepreneurial endeavor, regardless of whether or not you failed. If you opened a an affiliate market website you were making $100 on or a dropshipping company that was making negligible amounts of money, these are not worth mentioning.
