CMU Tepper Undergrad (Course information)

Hi,

I'm considering going into CMU Tepper for undergrad and wanted to hear about the courses from someone who has been in the program. Specifically, I want to know how quantitative the curriculum is. CMU openly advertises that it has a highly quantitative curriculum, and when I sat down in an operations management class, it was all statistics in context of business. Are other classes similarly quantitative at Tepper. If so, do you think a student who is not that strong in math (relative to CMU standards) can still maintain a high gpa in Tepper classes, thanks for reading.

Was a Tepper undergrad, then transferred into math. Tepper is not that quantitative. You'll be forced to take an absolutely introductory stats class but that's it. With that said, I don't think CMU is a good school if you're not interested in quantitative fields as it's pretty much a non-target for things like IBD and only shines in S&T.

Thanks for helping me out with this, I also have mich, though I'm not a preadmit to Ross. I was unaware that they changed their program to allow more preadmits, so I figured I'd just apply as a freshman at Michigan. They are still reserving spots for freshman applicants, so if I go I would have a decent chance of getting in (I hope I don't sound cocky but I think I'd be in the upper range of Michigan students applying for Ross as freshman applicants)
