Cufflinks for Analyst in Hong Kong?
Just to get this straight, can someone tell me whether it's standard practice for analysts to wear shirts with cufflinks (per British) or no cufflinks (American). I'm from the US so I have no idea what standard practice is over there. Also, does it matter, at all?
Depends on the group/location. I heard in the UK, it's pretty common, but it's not so much in the US, although it's not necessarily frowned upon (once again, group dependent) as long as you don't wear ridiculously flashy cuff links. As for HK, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more British leaning in terms of style.

sorry to be so rude about it, but honestly, buddy, just find a style you like and wear it.
do you care whether other analysts are wearing cufflinks or not?
I like using cufflinks very much. Since it is very stylish and cool. I especially feel proud using the titanium cufflinks.

Wearing cufflinks reflects your professionalism and modest look. You can even go without them but if you want to create the best impression then going with these will add to your elegance.
Hong Kong: French cuffs or single cuffs? (Originally Posted: 02/04/2010)
I will be starting as a IBD analyst with a BB in Hong Kong soon. Do analysts usually wear French cuffs or single cuffs in HK?
French.
You're welcome.
i think a flapping dickey is more appropriate.
I think T shirt would be most appropriate.
