DB S&T Summer Analyst Interview

anyone have any insight into the summer analyst interview? for the new york office. will be flying in for the 30 min first round then will hear if I make it to final round, which is the next day. I don't have much experience in trading at all so any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Should be mainly fit questions with maybe a few about current events and the markets. Read over the WSJ in the morning and have a solid answer for: 1) Walk me through your resume/tell me your story 2) Why DB S&T 3) Why S&T

just had an interview with them. questions vary depending on the recruiters. usually they will ask questions in which they feel you might be weak in.. for example if they think you are not strong in your technicals, they might ask you questions about the greeks, Black-Scholes etc. Or if you come from a technical degree they will ask you market-related questions.

But these questions are definitely ones you should prepare for.. 1) Tell me about yourself 2) Why Deutsche bank 3) Why S&T 4) What do you think about the markets? 5) Pitch me a stock/trade idea

I was also asked a simple question on hedging using linear regression and a couple of stuff about my resume..

Good luck!

hmmm, interesting, I went through final round a month ago. I would tell you to know the markets. The interview is not quantitative, sorry to disappoint you... :P Maybe a few thinking problems. The questions are flexible, they might derive their questions based your answer. E.g. he ask you whats your view on US economy and you said the future inflation might be higher or durational risk in 5-10 years is big or dollar will depreciate against a basket of foreign currency. they might ask what strategy you deploy today based your assumption, or he might ask our desk think dollar will remain strong, what do you think the reason could be.... bla bla bla. All kinds of question, so if I were you, I would know the markets and be yourself in the interview.

I post Global Markets Daily on my blog (www.gamblerdaily.com) everyday... I assemble the important data or news in Aisa, European and US market. I talk about important FX cross, rates and commodity and some of my thinking and trading ideas too. You should check it out. But the same time, do your own due diligence... I didn't get the offer...

Good luck to you!
