DCM No Name Boutique vs UBS
As my username goes, I want to do a 2 years and out plan from a bulge bracket investment bank to a hedge fund and then another 2 years to private equity or Corporate development, i'm still thinking. Anywho I caught myself in a sticky situation where I have to pick between two boutiques and I dont know which one to go to. First I have UBS, but god knows who they are up too they're probably running a money laundering operation and disguising it as an investment bank, do they even get deals anymore? I dont see bloomberg talking about them like once. Also, I have another option which ia DCM boutique but I dont know if it will give me the proper skills for an hedge fund or private equity nerveless corproate development.
What are your thoughts? btw I am a 19 year old sophmore that goes to a target, i'm majoring in history to get an easy 4.0 GPA.
EDIT: If you work in DCM will it be the same as working in investment banking? or will it be soft skill dominated area like cold calling/emailing like PWM?
bump
What type of boutique has a DCM group? Do you mean PCA?
