DB still pays hourly just they do it in some really odd way that you cant make more than 15k for the summer..... Perks wise.... meals if u stay after 7 and on weekends.... cars to go home at 9.... they pay for their events which are usually dinner and drinks.... not to mention your co-workers are laid back, smart, and fun.

Id imagine the perks are similar at other firms, but wouldnt know and culture usually only differs slightly from firm to firm.

Does suck that DB doesnt pay time and a half overtime, but I am sort of glad because i cant see that being good for any bank to do. Paying a summer intern 20+ k to as much as high 30s for a summer internship is ridiculous lol. Its awesome some kids got that, but I havent heard any other firms having that type of situation.

He might not be joking. You can do the math. At $28.85 per normal hours and 1.5x for every hour over 40, its not inconceivable to hit 40k (maybe it is, I didnt do the math yet). My friend hit 30k last summer and he only averaged 80 hours a week.
