Did the recruiter mess up my interview?

Currently, do MM tech IB and had an interview with a fund that invests across four verticles. The recruiter said it was a generalist role, but I interviewed with two industrials VPs who said that 90% of my time would be in industrials. Seems weird that I would not have been interviewed by the tech team or healthcare team where my skills are more applicable.

My question is do I follow up with the recruiter and ask if there was a scheduling issue on their end or is this normal? He and the firm have given me a lot of good leads and I don't want to ruin the relationship.

Would love to work at this shop.
