Does Anyone Have Information on New York International Capital?

I recently got an offer for a remote, unpaid IB analyst internship with them. I tried looking up for information about them aside from the website, and there doesn't seem to be much.

Obviously, this isn't a traditional IB bank if they would hire a freshman for a remote internship (at least I've never heard of the practice before), but they don't seem like a scam either. I had a short online interview, and they sent me an official looking nondisclosure agreement.

Basically, I'm wondering if putting this on my resume would be noteworthy, or would a company search up NYIC and think it was some scam/fake organization.

Please do not accept that... It is a big and complex scam. I have talked with people in the industry, Headhunters, School career advisors, they all highly doubt it.

  1. I searched the firm from Crunchbase and PrivCo, these two databases, nothing showed up. We don't know when the firm established either what deals done by the firm.
  2. We have researched what companies are currently in One World Trade Center and the Wall Street Building they mentioned, there is no such a company.
  3. If you look at LinkedIn, you can't find people globally as they described on their website. Two full-time employed ladies you can find on LinkedIn are using weird photos, and they just have several connections. Their school background is kinda fake too.
  4. I know someone got an offer from this firm, and the firm required that guy to provide American version name. Because that guy does not have one, the offer was withdrawn without explanation.
  5. The info they required to go through the background check, as some people who got the offer said, they were not provided with the document issued by the firm either required to go to post office and record fingerprints. How they will use our SSN, ID softcopy? cannot imagine

its all good its a good resume builder most banks wont check out the firm and if they do its not that big of a deal ill say my school recomendded them so it looks bad on the school not me and ill say it paid really well like 37 hour so thats another reason I did it

I’m not a freshman I’m a junior and yea it helped me get interviews everywhere but I’m in legal trouble apartment oh they found out I made these posts and just sent me a cease letter saying they’re filing a lawsuit for deformation so I deleted my old account. I also have tons of their confidential info, client list saved, internal financials everything the company’s fucked I’m brining it to the news you have to see how they were running their business it was a sham I realize the owner is fucked everything they’re doing is illegal but I have to keep hiding my account

Funniest

Wait until you see what they have been working on with Justine Tobin it’s crazy both companies are fronts it’s unreal what they’ve been hiding

They redid the website. Still looks horrible and tons of misspelling.

Absolute joke of an "IB." This is in the disclaimer:

"Absolutely unapologetic about any "grammatical errors" in any standard on the site. NYIC is a very home of all kinds. The content is managed by NYIC affiliates originally from everywhere in the world. We are NOT speaking NO English here. We unapologetically speak our very own language - NYICese.

We focus on nothing superficial except for getting things DONE, WELL DONE, WELL DONE FAST for our institutional clients. "
