Does Citi now have the Coolest / Best Office?
I really enjoy going around to different BBs and EBs and seeing the offices. With that being said, Citi's renovations are awesome and not to mention they have a great location. BAML has a great building too, CS nice architecture but little to dim on the inside, JPM nothing special, MS horrible location, Lazard I think has the best views in Midtown. That's all I've seen
Don't work there but really loved their office. They know what they're doing too - always make sure to take students into the conference rooms with amazing views.
I visited Goldman (at 200 West) with one of my finance clubs back in school. Towards the end of the tour, the MDs took us up to one of the "deal signing" floors around sunset, where the views were spectacular. The alumni analysts quietly told us that it was over a year before they even set foot on the floor and that you don't have any view when actually working as an analyst. They did concede how effective of a sales pitch that part of the office was though. I imagine that there is also some effect with clients, but probably to a far lesser extent than students.
DB has the best building. plenty of free space!
What's UBS' office like?
Pretty solid building with good views & good location
DB and GS have a lot cheaper nearby apartments than the midtown banks.
I thought DB moved their office closer to Central Park
What's an office?
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but while Citi's building and views are great...their location is actually super inconvenient for most finance bros in their 20's. Almost easier to get there from Brooklyn than from Murray Hill.
tribeca is literally the best neighborhood in new york city. skip murray hill and live somewhere actually nice (west village / chelsea / soho) instead of the mid-20s equivalent of frat row.
first years can't afford WV/chelsea/soho unless they choose to live in a shitty pre-war walkup. most analysts that work in tribeca area live in hells kitchen/LES/fidi
You say this as though anyone would actually want to live in Murray Hill...
The dining area atop JPM's building is beautiful.
Wells Fargo in Charlotte has a cool atrium on the top few floors.

not to mention the brand new offices in 30 Hudson Yards, floors 60-65

KKR is there too right?
VTB has a cool office, but you have to arm wrestle Putin for a FT offer
