Ever heard of someone making the leap from alpha capture?

I am a contributor to 2 of the top alpha generation hedge funds in the world and have been killing it the last 3 months (as long as I have been doing it). I had 27% alpha in September, 7.69% Alpha October, and so far in November I am at 5% alpha. While I am being paid $30-10k a month together by both of them -- I'd really prefer to be a PM. Is anyone out there experienced with these alpha capture programs and has anyone ever heard of one of these funds saying, you are doing really well -- how about you come work for us? I'd really like to work directly for them.

I'm a bit confused as to why this thread hasn't seen more action.

Perhaps people don't believe the #'s you're posting, but if they are true you are doing quite well.

You basically started in August/September of last year, perhaps you need a larger sample size (1-2 years) in order to show what you are generating is sustainable?

Patrick Bateman would eat Eddie Morra's lunch (and probably his brains).

Disclaimer: This was a long time and a longer story, but I figured I'd answer for history's sake going through responses to my old posts.  I have no idea what the current condition of the Alpha Capture Portfolio market is other than one of my old PM's messaged me on linkedin from Point72 a couple years ago asking if I would be interested in contributing to a new strategy there. I'm didn't.

Marshall Wace paid the best followed by SAC.

I also got picked up and got paid relative peanuts by 2 Sigma and Millennium.

While they were all broadly "Alpha Capture" platforms they were run differently. The first two were really based off of trust between me and the PM and gun slinging and the latter two were just ways to add additional inputs into quant strategies.

is that $30 to $10,000, $30 is laughable, how are you doing these days, still doing alpha capture? which networks are you on, how does one join them, possible to join as individual contributor?
