finance major vs management major!!!!HELP

what are the differences between a specialist in finance and in management from a semi target( UTM, not rotman tho) in terms of looking for a job in top tier companies?? i.e Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, McKinsey , etc...... (we called it specialist here since the programs require you to take approx 15 credits that are mandatory)

Im struggling in choosing between these 2 programs, i will just put in this way, if i choose to go to finance, my cgpa will down for 0.2 to 3.4. and if i go into management, i get to keep a cgpa of 3.6.......

Higher cgpa in management VS lower cgpa in finance

what would you choose ? thanks in advance

Wouldn't management be more in line with McKinsey and Finance be more applicable to GS and MS? Figure out what you want to do. Don't solely make this decision for your GPA (though obviously that should be a consideration if you're not sure).

Do not major in management, but what kind of responses did you expect posting this on a finance blog. Still, Eriginal is absolutely correct. I switched my major over to finance freshman year when I learned how useless every other business major was.

Nothing short of everything will really do.

Management is not the way to go. Finance for sure...I don't find much value in a management major and a lot of finance positions will not either.

would a higher gap in management not be a better off for the chance getting a better job in top tier companies after graduation ??

If you want IB, go for the econ and finance degree. Some other tips... get the best possible internship you can each summer.
