Hey all.
I am starting to hear rumblings at my SA about kids reaching out for informal interviews. I suspect this is regarding FT offers. Is it too early to start the FT recruiting mega-thread?
Also any insight into FT interviews process, and the how to best position coming out of SA would be helpful. Energy / Houston based would be helpful as well.

Not too early... it's actually a good time to start pinging friends at other banks to get an idea of where they are shaking out. TBH I wouldn't expect a lot of movement in regards to jumping around. Everyone is VERY headcount conscious right now, especially at the Analyst level.

It starts earlier every year. It used to be end of September, but now it seems like it's the beginning to mid of August.
Start networking now, time is of the essence.

People are on campus by September if spots haven't already been filled by accelerated recruiting during the summer. I'd start spending time on it now.
Last year accelerated recruiting timelines were mid-late July. For regular full time it was August - September last year (but don't be that guy reaching out in August for a coffee chat).
