Do not join Golden Key, it's worthless. Beta Gamma Sigma is really the only recognizable distinction as far as business schools go (top 10% of undergrad business students receive an offer to join).

I've got tons of these as well...can't figure out what they actually do.

It costs $85 or something to join so seemed like BS to me.

 

If there's a fee, it's a scam. Real honor societies - Phi Beta Kappa, etc. - don't charge you money.

So it does. I'm not PBK material, and none of my friends who made it ever mentioned a fee, but I stand corrected. I'll revise my advice:

its an honor / "honour" society - legitimate...

it's really something to put on your resume, and other than that, didn't see any use for it. they had a few events (service, social events, etc.) but i didn't think it differentiated me at all
