Do not join Golden Key, it's worthless. Beta Gamma Sigma is really the only recognizable distinction as far as business schools go (top 10% of undergrad business students receive an offer to join).

Google is a fairly useful tool

You're born, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake, son.

I've got tons of these as well...can't figure out what they actually do.

It costs $85 or something to join so seemed like BS to me.

If there's a fee, it's a scam. Real honor societies - Phi Beta Kappa, etc. - don't charge you money.

One of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over.

Mfsl27Actually, pbk does.

So it does. I'm not PBK material, and none of my friends who made it ever mentioned a fee, but I stand corrected. I'll revise my advice:

If neither you nor your friends have heard of it and there's a fee, it's a scam.

One of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over.

its an honor / "honour" society - legitimate...

it's really something to put on your resume, and other than that, didn't see any use for it. they had a few events (service, social events, etc.) but i didn't think it differentiated me at all
