Holden Caulfield Syndrome?
This is going to sound really pretentious, but lately, I've been viewing more and more people around me as tools. So many people seem so generic, lame, and phony... for lack of a better word. I realize that I'm probably no better in their eyes.
I don't want to be a cynical, self-important cunt, but I can't seem to help it.
http://servantofchaos.com/2006/04/can_working_wit.html Working with idiots can kill you...runn...go join the army and serve your country in Airaq...
Get away from the idiots by joining the army, go, hurry before there are no spots left.

it's probably because you don't know them well enough to know what makes them unique or interesting.
What he's trying to say is the problem is most likely with you, not with them. By ridding yourself of your ego you see what is really bothering you.
So many people are "so generic, lame, and phony". That's why you foster friendships with people you enjoy.

I have felt this way for some time now. I can't even write any further in this post because:

I think that everyone is crazy; those who are the wrong kind of crazy are cast out from mainstream society.
Holden Caulfield syndrome? More like the human condition. Go read some Schopenhauer; let the hate build inside you.
Do you mind posing a recommendation?
Of what? His views on antinatalism?
Your use of the word "phony" cracked me the fuck up.
