Houlihan Lokey FRG 1st round interview - tips

Have a 1st round summer associate interview with HLHZ Restructuring soon and was wondering if anyone could provide any tips on what to expect (types of questions) and how to prepare (any specific guides/good books to check out)?

Any help is appreciated

In terms of guides, I have the BIWS stuff, and I have found it to be quite useful. It helps lay out the different technical questions, and also how you should present your story. I haven't tried the other guides, but I have had good experiences with BIWS, so far.

Oh, that's true. My bad! I'm sure people in the field will comment soon; a lot of people on this site definitely have some good insight.

i had a first round with them.

My interview was very technical, but didn't involve any of the questions from the WSO restructuring guide.

The only one I got was to tell them how to normalize the income statement for a distressed company. Everything else was very situational.
