Hours at the Partner level at Megafunds?

Does anyone know what the typical hours are at the Partner (or almost Partner) level for a Megafund? I get that it's more of a you eat what you kill type of dynamic at this point, but just curious on general observations.

I did a search but it mostly turned up Associate hours.

Thanks.

Back when I was an associate I had the misfortune of taking a peek at my boss's outlook calendar while we were sitting together on a flight. EVERY SINGLE SPACE from 9 to 6 was filled with calls and meetings, and often double, triple, or quadruple booked. He told me his actual "work" day started after he got home at 7pm because he finally had space to breathe and answer emails / review materials / think about things aside from his immediate next meeting. Maybe an extreme example, but it really changed my perspective on working with senior people.

At a MF now where I can see the calendars for everyone on my team and can confirm this is pretty regularly the case. It seems that the partners I work with usually are non-stop back to back calls / meetings from 9 AM through 5-6 PM, then log off for a few hours to presumably have dinner, visit with significant other and kids, etc. and normally log back on around 9-10 for another few hours to actually “do” work as alluded to above.

With that said, at that level it’s less of an evaluation of hours since you’re not going to be the one grinding out deliverables in excel / PPT / word like you do as an associate. Instead it is an evaluation of 1) how efficient can you be in your approach to evaluating and managing investments (both in terms of approach generally - how quickly do you get to a yes/no decision when a CIM comes in - and leveraging your team) and 2) do you generally like the work you’re doing. Given the grind it takes to make partner and the stage of life you’d be in at that point with many other competing responsibilities I’ve come to realize you need to find enjoyment in the work or you would have already burnt out
