So from a deal flow perspective, it's definitely better than it was 3-4 years ago. Having said that, it is not a group you will join for its culture. The group is divided into two subgroups where Insurance and AM are together and the other side is banks/fintech/specfin. The insurance/AM side is a complete sweatshop and the culture isn't good either (a lot of facetime, consistently staying late nights). Most of my interaction was with folks on the banks/fintech/specfin side and they were normal, albeit maybe a bit nerdy. The exits have historically been subpar and a lot of analysts I know stay on as associates at the firm.
