How much do youbguys make and what's your corporate title?
I thought I would ask about corporate title rather than YOE since a lot of people lateral into the industry.
Would also be interested in BB vs MM

Title: Research associate (ASO1)
Comp: 150k base and 50k bonus

Also sector if you guys are comfortable disclosing
Analyst 3
100 base, 40 bonus
Title: Research Associate (Aso1)
Comp: 90k base and 50k bonus
Sector: Biopharma
Error in title, pls fx. tx
Is this out of undergrad? Why is there such a huge difference in base for associates? 150 above vs 90 here
Above poster. Depends on your shop and also my analyst went to bat for me/I leveraged offers from other firms
Pharma or biotech? Was that your starting salary/expected bonus in ER? Do you your advanced degree co-workers have a similar base/bonus?
ill let you answer that first question yourself, should be pretty obvious lol.
Based on what small amount of info i could find relevant for my sector, I came in with a total comp figure. They countered by lower the base but upping the bonus.. so I was kept whole? No adv degree for me, unsure about colleagues. One friend that I know started at a BB after ~5 yrs of big pharma industry exp, base is 110k and 30-40 bonus i think?
I see, what is the average base for associate 1 that you have seen? I believe for IB it is 150? Not sure for ER. As well as average numbers for bonuses for ER too at this level compared to IB
Probably 120-135 base + 30-60 bonus. ASO1/2/3 usually 20k base step ups and variable bonus. Really depends on your shop and sector but can pretty much guarantee it's less than IB with better hours (-ish) trade off
For associate 1? Geeez I wish.
Edit: Perhaps its different bc you went to grad school. College hires definitely don't make this much
Incoming associate 1 at top ER shop. It's 85 base + 10 signing bonus. + ~25 performance bonus. I've been told that the compensation for junior in S&T and IB isn't radically different at the entry level
Title: Research Associate
Comp: $160K base + sign-on, $40K bonus
Sector: Healthcare/not biotech
