How Old Should You Be When You Graduate
Im applying to various universities in London for a degree in "Financial Economics" but I can't help but feel old.
I was in college from 18-20 but left because I decided on a career on wall street.
Im 20 now by the time I get in to college I will be 21 by the time I graduate I will be 24.
I could have graduated next september at 20 if I knew what I wanted back when I was 16.
But thats all in the past even though I feel regret I can't change anything.
How old are most starting guys on wall street ?

24 is not that big a deal. There are probably some ex military guys in there that start of as analysts at that age or even older.
also some guys who were back office for 2-4 years starting as analysts, so 24-26 isn't a dealbreaker. definitely sets you back a bit, but it's not outlandish by any means
Take it from someone who graduated at 20... you're much more marketable at 24 than you would be on the other end of the spectrum.
I finished my undergrad last year and started as an IB Analyst a month ago, in my early 30s. Having failed at just about everything for a decade and starting university only in my late 20s made me really appreciate what I was doing and why. Having gone to interviews with a whole "other" life experience beforehand provided me with many stories to tell, and made me a much more rounded.
You were saying something about regrets? If I got my shit together at 20 or even 25, I'd have a lot more to show for. But, I don't regret anything. It's a sunk cost.
That said, there are two things I have going for me. I look younger than you'd guess I am by looking at me, and I have the attitude of a guy in his mid 20s. There are no ideal paths. You're I worked 80 hours so far this week. I'm surrounded by competent people, and I love everything about my life except waking up at 6am.

How are the M7 MBA programs in terms of age? I've heard they're younger than most? Would 30 be considered "old?"
I've seen people I know graduating anywhere from age 19-26 for undergrad. Even though it's not common to be a 24 year old graduate it happens, and doesn't seem to hold anyone back.

Yes, if you have enough hours to graduate it doesn't matter what age you are. However, I would argue most universities won't admit someone for full time studies who is so much younger than the general population.
