How to prepare for activist fund interviews?
Hi Monkeys,
Interviewing with an activist shop in the upcoming weeks (not one of the biggest), but ~$1b AUM, and I'm really excited about the opportunity.
Would love to hear from people with similar interview experience or who work in activist hedge funds now -- how can I prepare to set myself apart?
SBs for anyone with some guidance.

be really good at fundamental valuations. not just financial modelling u do in IB but from value investor's approach and know how to identify undervalued companies. Try to understand the hedge fund's approach and look at their past investments.
I'm interested in the activist space as well, how'd you land the interview? (sorry i dont have any advice for you)
^Bump. I think most activist funds like pershing use head hunters. but also, networking is prob the key
best to ask Gray Fox
Seconding the request to know how you got the internship?
