RJ is the best brand that you will get in southern Florida. Past RJ, small boutiques maybe?
I think the RJ St. Pete office is mainly mid tier finance roles, main IB office is in Boston. Anyone feel free to correct but thats what I heard.

PWM in Miami is pretty good, I can vouch that Goldman and MS pay $85k base with $20-30k bonus

see if HIG capital or Sun capital hires FT analysts (i have no idea) and shoot for that. that will be your best bet if you want good pay and any kind of a brand name. otherwise just do your two years wherever and move to PE in south FL afterwords.

If your interested at all in infra, two really good infra funds are based in South Florida (I squared and digital colony).
Oppenheimer has a small healthcare group in Miami that would most likely pay near street I believe. Besides that there’s only a few boutiques that I doubt pay street but still comfortable salaries. RJ is definitely the best IB in Florida although in St. Pete. They have part of the M&A, Real Estate, Industrials, Fin Services and Technology & Services located there from my knowledge. Buy side is a different story as people have mentioned above with some strong PE shops in the area.
Would be interested in hearing others opinions on FL as well.
