is it a good idea to network with recruiters?
is trying to network with recruiters at a firm a good idea? if so should I only try and network with recruiters that recruit in the area i applied in? e.g if i applied to a NY position do I only try and contact recruiters in that specific region, or does it not matter as long as they're in the US?
My solid connection with recruiter from cold emailing eventually turned into my super day spot, I would see if you could add them into your networking schedule
How did you build a connection with a recruiter? What types of questions did you ask them compared to a networking call with an analyst?
this was after having a network built at the bank, I asked to be referred to a recruiter and when we me in person (pre-covid so prob very diff) I asked about the program, told them about my interests/skills and we concluded that I would be a good candidate.
had a super day 2 days later
also have to take into account this is for s&t, I’m sure IB has a much more structured process
im currently working at a bank at the moment right now and was going to network with people that are in the role im interested in, how would i go about asking them to connect me with a recruiter? or would it better to contact the recruiter directly in the internal networks of the company?
