Depends on the shop and role - do your own research. These shops will require to be a proficient coder in most trading roles
At those 3 particular shops no. Akuna divides Trading Interns from Quant Trading Interns. DRW and Optiver do not as well (from my knowledge). However, it is good to have a solid understanding of algos. I interned at Akuna.
I don't see Akuna has a coding test for trading position. Did they actually ask you coding questions during your interview?
