I'm a first year Associate right out of a three year analyst program at a BB. I'm switching firms. New firm offered $10K relo which is what I got as an analyst. What is market these days?

“I recently had my first roadmap meeting with a mentor from WSO Academy, and it was truly a pleasure. We had such an open, genuine, and insightful conversation. What I appreciated most was how closely his background, career path, and long-term vision aligned with my own ambitions. It was almost as if we shared the same goals and outlook on the future, which made the conversation even more valuable. We discussed a wide range of topics, including starting my career in an analyst role in the APAC region, potential pathways into private equity, and how to eventually transition into the U.S. market. You've got to make up a better lie if you want an answer. Honestly how can you not know if you've been an analyst for 3 years and now an associate at a BB. PLUS even asking for such info on a forum site when compared to the vast resources you supposedly have. Tip: Just tell the truth and ask, what do associates make. No need to make up a story.

I've heard of Assocites in my current group getting up to $30K, but they have MBAs and I do not. I'm located outside of NY, in a small group (4), and am somewhat disconnected from comp discussions. Any help is appreciated.

a to a's got the standard package mba hires and laterals got - $35K.

straight up, you're getting screwed...

i would at least ask someone in hr or an md you have a decent relationship with why you're not getting the same package--not necessarily in a rude/condescending way, but more in an inquisitive manner.
