JPM SF Tech Opinions

I haven't seen any recent posts about JPM's SF Tech group. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on recent culture, hours, exit opps, and deal flow? I have talked to a couple people, and it seems like the group has improved over the last couple of years, but figured I would get more opinions.

I am a current boutique analyst looking to make a lateral move in the next year!

I was in the interview process with them but got dinged.

It seems like one of the weaker tech offices in SF (when compared to the likes of Qatalyst, GS, MS etc.) but by no means awful. Exits are far from guaranteed but definitely possible.

JPM definitely trails behind GS/MS/Q, but pretty much the top office to be in other than those three for tech investment banking. It looked like they were on majority of the IPOs that happened this year as well as some of the big M&A deals. Big sell-side advisory is pretty dominated by Q so wouldn't count too much on that but otherwise a great place to be in.

The exits aren't as good as the very solid placement by JPM TMT team in NYC.

Think your best bet on the westcoast is to go with GS, MS or Moelis, Houlihan rx, Evercore, Qatalyst

Its not GS MS Qatalyst Moelis UBS(LA) Houlihan They do place into all the big tech giants (google, fb. Amazon, snap, apple) - Corp development programs, as well as MM PE/HF shops on the westcoast
