Appropriate to reach out about potential full-time opportunities now? (MBA Summer Associate)

Currently waiting to begin my abbreviated MBA associate internship in a few weeks. While the firm has traditionally given out ~90% offers I'm pretty worried and stressed given the current environment and virtual setting.

Is it appropriate to reach back out/check in with firms I had offers or super days with now? Or should I wait until the end of the summer like normal?

If I reach out now, what should my phrasing be to let them know I am interested in any full time spots they might have to fill?

Related: There were some firms I did not get a chance to explore--is a bad look to network and reach out to alumni to learn more now?

I don't think it's that big of a deal to start now.

I would start with the people you made really good connections with - drop them a line and say you would love to catch up (they will know what you are telegraphing). Keep the conversation light and friendly, ask their advice on being a good remote intern, and then ask about staying in touch throughout the summer. You could also say something to the effect of you really loved the team at X, were disappointed it didn't work out for the summer and would love to apply for fulltime if positions open up (they won't know yet if they are hiring, most likely).

Definitely also reach out to other firms you didn't hear from too - coffee chat it up and stay in touch. For all of these convos, just keep it light early on, then as the end of July rolls around start being more direct and ask about FT positions. Meanwhile, make SURE you get an offer, or at least have someone who can vouch for a non-performance reason for no-offer. No-offer summers are "damaged" goods (sometimes unfairly), so get ahead of that.
