Lead Edge Capital - Growth Equity
Hey Monkeys, just a young undergraduate trying to look at potential Growth Equity firms to target for recruiting.
Does anyone know anything about Lead Edge Capital? I attend a target school and have seen their website recently and found their GPs to be interesting. Any information on career progression, exits, pay and anything else for this particular firm.
I believe there is already a post on it: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/lead-edge-capital-growth-equity-…
To answer your questions high level
Career Progression: Most people stay at the firm or exit to other growth/vc funds
Exits: Limited to within growth/vc/tech finance
Pay: Out of undergrad it is around 150k-175k + sourcing bonus/phantom equity
Bumping this. Any new updates/knowledge?
Are you interviewing?
Yes I am, I am connected with the team there
Nice. Not connected but interviewing. Do you know how many rounds?
Any insight?
App was posted on handshake for my school. I applied cold and didn’t make it pass the resume screen, and was pretty surprised honestly lol. Currently interning at an EB + had tech experience so not sure what they’re looking for unless u network to get into the process
Was this for fulltime? I didn't have banking experience
.
You don’t need banking experience. Have friends who interviewed there for FT coming from smaller growth shops.
sounds like networking is super important
I got an interview without networking.
Was this for FT out of undergrad?
Yep, they also posted at my school and saw summer 2022 and FT apps
Had a first round there last week for SA, didn't make it through to the next round.
My interviewer said there are around 3 rounds, with the final one being a mock "sourcing call" where a team member basically roleplays as a founder and you gotta do your thing.
Interviewer was great and I really enjoyed the conversation, but it felt like they were looking for a specific personality for the sourcing intern role.
Is there a case study? I know there’s one for FT. Were there any technicals?
Nope mine was very chill and conversational, walking through resume, talk about a portfolio company that was interesting, what are investing red flags, what would you ask a founder on a sourcing call, etc.
Anyone gotten an interview for ft?
Anyone know what the culture and WLB is like?
