Lehman Brothers--Best Groups, Exit Opps, Brand Equity.
I have an internship with Leh this summer as a Sophomore. Assuming my plan is to do IB for a few years, then go to HBS, then PE. Would the top groups at Leh be enough in terms of brand prestige and the like? Or should I strive for MS/GS for the following summer? (Which is relatively attainable in my situation)
LMAO
LMOA ROFL and whatever LOL type phrase there is.

if the original poster is joking or not..i hope hes joking though bc its hilarious
When are you planning to run for the Presidency ? 2036 or 2040 ?
lol...You guys are making me laugh, but i'm really not joking. Is it so unattainable?
You get in through SEO or INROADS?
aren't we a little jealous now goldson?
Nope b/c I still got in bitch, but not as a sophomore, so I gota give the kid respect. Got in as a junior
Then fall back and give him some respect instead of trying to demean him.
Since when is SEO or Inroads a way to demean someone? That is an honor to be a part of those programs dipshit
Whatever, this isn't a situation where you can disrespect someone.
Regardless, in one word, yes, Lehman is fine. Business schools aren't in love with bankers and don't neccessarily differentiate much between them at BBs. The post analyst experience is probably the biggest differentiator for B school (ie. PE, Corp Dev't etc) and also the progression speed.
You'll be fine dude-- pick the bank that has the best culture for you and you'll do well for yourself. Guys from Lehman, Credit Suisse, UBS and all other non-GS/MS banks still get into to top PE/HF and business schools.
If you really want to differentiate for b-school you might think of one of hte prestigious boutiques. Becuase they have smaller analyst classes they really differentiate on b-school apps.
I've heard the same being true for regional BB offices with execution prescense + PE after. Once you get in this business you might even not want to get a MBA - I'd suggest being a bit more flexible with your career path -- but its obviously up to you.
bc some punk soph is already talking about going to HBS and PE bc he got in thru SEO
relax man, go to lehman, learn about the business, worry about getting an offer for FT not about how to get into HBS
AND have fun in school while you still can
Nah I didn't do SEO this year, and i'm still considering whether it's worth doing junior summer as well. I got in applying through the scholarship program which is linked to the Soph. Rotational. Interviewed well, and got 'em both. Thanks for the answer Westcoasting. What about some of Leh's top groups?
