LGP is a top notch PE fund, the best in Los Angeles. They recently raised $15bn across their flagship and mid market funds.

They buy high quality assets and are willing to pay a premium. Their diligence is focused on business and industry quality and less on detailed modeling.

LGP both promotes from within and is supportive of business school.  Danhakl went to HBS and thus they place well there. They had an analyst program but it ended after people left to other opportunities.

They historically operated very lean - less than 40 investment professionals and very few VPs. They’ve grown a bit in recent years and have hired VPs from business school. In the past, they have preferred hiring people with ties to Los Angeles.
