Let's Talk News
There is a lot in the world to keep up on... I was/am a bit of a news junkie. My interest in finance originally came about reading the finance section of the paper. Nowadays it is a bit more difficult to keep up with everything that is going on. A few questions...
How do you keep up with the news?
What sectors do you follow?
Any great sources out there you mind sharing?
Just looking to learn more about the community, and what folks are reading. Thanks monkeys!
I keep up on the news by reading Bloomberg, and Seeking Alpha. That, and a few RSS feeds some co-workers let me use.
My list is rather hefty, rarely do I get the chance to get through everything I would like. In no particular order...

Mind sharing which Youtube channels?
They are a bit liberal, but overall good information.
I'm convinced the WSJ is the only reliable source for unbiased, consistent journalism. Recent highlights were the uncovering of Theranos as a scheme, and despite being traditionally conservative, it does not go crazy kissing the throne's ass. Can't beat it anywhere.
When it comes time to getting the facts, WSJ always does a good job of understanding laying out the important pieces of information.
I'm into finance (markets, macro econ, deals) and geopol - I use twitter. But, there's using twitter and then there's 'using' twitter - I started off following close to 800 accounts but realized the best is to curate a smaller feed that doesn't resemble an out of control spew of nonsense. Right now I'm at following about 200 accounts (90% are individuals with quality posts that post occasionally - not every hour - so they're valued opinions & 10% are accounts like WSJ or Bloomberg for headline or deal news). Using the 'mute' button or 'turn off retweets' are great for helping with that.
Check out steeteye.com....it tracks the most popular finance stories as voted on by its readers. I also like Abnormal Returns and Ritholtz Reads. Sometimes a bit of real clear markets though its hit or miss.
