It sounds like you'd prefer Cambridge.
The one thing which is making you unsure of Cambridge is the lower professional relevance. But, I'd argue that neither econ history or modern european history will be relevant to IB or consulting in terms of the content that you'll learn, so you might as well go for the institution you'd prefer, since both will offer strong links to the IB and consulting industries. Consulting firms would probably prefer the Cambridge brand as well. This is coming from an LSE postgrad.

I studied Economic History for undergrad at LSE and I’d say the quantitative focus makes it really useful.
You also get a fair amount of freedom in terms of picking your courses and specialisation and the academics in the department are really good.
Can’t speak for Cambridge in terms of on campus, but LSE is really well geared to get you in finance in terms of societies, recruitment events and generally the focus of other students around campus.

IMO, if you are going for top tier consulting firms then choose Cambridge; otherwise choose LSE. I am currently studying MSc EH at LSE so if you want anymore info on the course then feel free to pm me your whatsapp number and i'll be happy to discuss.

Hey man, I am an international student who has applied to this course and was wondering about the prospects. I have a strong econ undergrad and have already cleared L1 of the FRM. Would be great if we could connect on linkedin since you have definitely graduated.
