M&A and LBO model
Hello All,
I am interested in breaking into PE/Investment banking and was wondering what models you are expected to know for an interview ( what do they look like, how complex or granular is the data). Would anyone happen to have both an LBO and M&A model they could share ? others have suggested courses from “ Training the street” but I am hesitant to shell out a thousand dollars for a course. I also have access to coursera would anyone have any course recommendations on that platform ?
interested
Thank you for the course recommendation. I am going to take a look at a few free alternatives that were suggested but I also plan on looking into these courses.
You need a strong understanding of both for banking and PE. Find templates online on Macabacus. Build it from scratch to get a good understanding. Others to know: merger model, comps, precedents, knowing other valuation methods are also helpful.
You don’t need to shell out anything but time to learn.
thank you for the insight. I just got out of work I am about to take a look at Macabacus right now.
