MBA PE/VC Summer Associate for International Students
Hey guys,
Do PE / VC funds take MBA associates as frequently as most IBs do?
If yes, what are the odds for an international student who has IB/PE experience but at their home country?
As an International living in a developing country, most top finance guys in my country don't land a BB offer after undergrad (there are only 2 BB offices where I live and they open 1 spot per year) but rather work in regional boutiques and PE funds. Then, after 3-4 years they go to a top MBA and land a Summer Associate internship at a BB. However, I've never seen any of these guys land a PE/VC offer during their MBAs, despite having IB experience. Are there virtually no chances of entering the US/EU Buyside world as an international MBA who hasn't worked in the US/EU before?
Thanks in advance
