MBB Swag
Am an incoming ACI/SBA/SA at an MBB. Have seen some sick swag before. What does swag typically look like at MBB? Do you get any before the summer itself like after signing? I know this is stupid btw before someone says it.

Bump, curious to know as well
cmon man i just got rejected
First of all, congrats! Things may be slightly different given COVID, but hopefully the firms keep to what they've done in the past:
McKinsey: Pretty sure they have a strict policy on no logo on any gear or swag. That said, if you got an offer here, still something to be super excited about!
Bain: I've seen a bunch of branded water bottles and Patagonias (rain jackets and fleeces with logo)
BCG: Similar to Bain, water bottles and fleeces with the logo on them. If I'm not mistaken, they also gave Airpods in the past (could be a misunderstanding though)
You generally receive the "swag" during sell weekend, so I'm guessing if they do plan on giving this stuff, it'll be shipped shortly.
Incoming MBB intern here: They aren't sending swag until the class is finalized. It doesn't make sense for them to send patagonias/branded gear to people who will ultimately work at a different firm. Right now at the sell events they're shipping edible gift baskets and giving Uber Eats/Door Dash gift cards to let you expense lunches during the weekend.
Same haha. I got some pastries sent to me which were delicious. I'm working in a Boston office also if anyone else is MBB Boston.
Are MBB firms still planning to have sell weekends virtually this fall/winter?
They have a 5 hour event where they are talking about different things and letting us expense lunch to them, but idk if this is "sell weekend"
Thanks so much! Good thing I'm not working for Mck :) . I hope my "sell weekend" isn't the zoom day we have.
Bain gives interns Patagonia rain jackets and other random shirts/the sort during the summer. Patagonia fleeces are given when you sign a FT offer, whether as a return or a fresh FT offer through recruiting. Bain also gives varying swag based on office (Boston ACIs got banker bags, Chicago got custom Away bags)
Incoming MBB junior year intern right now. Should I expect the expensed meals and swag as an undergrad before signing my offer?
Probably not, you might get some basic stuff this year but I wouldn't expect firms to pull out all the stops as usual from what I've heard.
Why not? What could have changed really?
Former McKinsey consultant. All I received were a laptop + corporate iPhone, both with unlimited calling minutes and surfing data, so I can be online 24/7.
What type of laptop do you use, Mac or Windows?
Lenovo - windows
when would you expect to receive any of this as a FT for MBB
I think only Bain and BCG do swag. Not Mck. I've heard that swag goes mostly to interns to get them to convert to full time as well.
does swag move the needle? I'd imagine it would do more to marginally boost morale.
What about T2 places (EY-P, LEK, OW, etc)?
