Which banks are typically strongest for metals & mining? I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of a metals & mining league table.
Additionally, what sort of exit opportunities are available for metals & mining IB?

GS was #1 in the league tables for 2011. Moved several hardcore VPs into the team over the last year, and seem to be getting results.
I would doubt MacCap is strong in M&M. In a way, the whole Natural Resources team at MacCap is not top notch (though it might be the strongest group within the bank).
From what I know, in Asia, JPM, MS and DB are traditionally very strong in M&M (JPM being the top).
macquarie has a solid metals and mining team, their whole natural resources team is pretty good overall. Otherwise as stated CS and MS have good teams.
The canadian banks such as RBC/BMO also tend to have good natural resources teams in general.
