Michigan LSA Econ vs Boston College Carroll

I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on these two schools, ignoring the finances. I’m still waiting on whether or not I will get into Michigan Ross. I am planning on doing west coast investment banking but NYC is an option to.

I’m from Southern California so these two schools are quite unfamiliar to me in their culture but I’m curious as to how their academic reputation compares in the business world.

Full disclosure I go to BC (Feel free to DM me w/ questions, but this is a bit biased). Personally, I don't think BC places well in Cali (I don't know a single kid doing banking out there), but if you'd be open to NYC (or something like Moelis Boston, which is making us a core school), BC is awesome. I've personally gone through the recruiting process (landed at a BB in NYC), and the alums were super helpful along the way. Even places where we are non-core (Evercore/PWP/ETC) the alums we do have there were super easy to get on the phone/helpful. I also can't totally speak to UM b/c I don't go there, but I have a friend in LSA is who is always complaining about how the Ross kids get preferential treatment (my buddy in Ross always laughs abt it). So from my biased prospective, if you get into Ross I would probably take that just B/C people seem to highly regard the school (probably more so than BC), but if you would just be in LSA (I was in the same position) I took BC and haven't regretted it in the slightest.

Hey, I know this is an old thread n shit but I'm going to BC next year, and the route uve described is exactly what I want to go through. Can u PM me? It would be dope to chat.
