A kid from my school graduated last year is an analyst there, and he loves it. Pretty typical for a west coast office, decent dealflow, hours are not terrible (seen him on campus at noon on a saturday before, spent the whole day chilling with his old sports team drinking, etc.) Pay is typical 60+10 One of my friends was offered a summer position for this summer, turned it down in favor of an asset management position

Pay is a typical 60+10? That sounds terrible.

In any case, I don't know about the pay, but ml la is not very good. Small office, little deal flow, does not have same rep as ml ny, exit opps not particularly good. On the other hand, since you have nothing to do, I guess lifestyle may be okay.

 

By 60+10 I meant 60 base, 10 signing, then whatever you get for year end. I dont both asking people I know their bonus numbers, so I would have no idea what it is.
