Moelis in Dubai

Does anyone have any insights on Moelis Dubai? They have an Analyst posting there and I wanted to learn more about the work, culture, hours, etc.. I know this has been asked before but if anyone has any more insights that would help a lot!

How come? It seems like Moelis has a much bigger team and better deal flow. Is the culture at EVR better?

It's not, at least for interns/analysts. I spoke to a few people there that don't speak arabic at all.

Interviewed there and can chip in.

Good team in term of deal flow, extremely good pay (think US salary, with no taxes (almost) and low col), sweaty sweaty hours tho.

Industry wise, of course you have a strong focus on energy, P&U, Oil & Gas, Infra, RE and some industrials. You work closely with local conglomerates and from time to time with SWFs of the region.

In terms of city, Dubai is Dubai, and it's up to you if you want to move there. Just be aware they will test in depth your reasons to move there as they want to avoid people going there 1-2yrs, stacking up cash and move back to Europe / US.
