Moving to private equity associate role from a non-traditional background - how to prepare?

I will be moving to an MM private equity fund in a deal role as an associate from a non-traditional (legal) background in June. While I have been told there will be formal training (there are a few others in my class from more traditional backgrounds), I want to be able to get up to speed as someone who does not come from a heavy finance background.

I passed the LBO modeling test, etc. but I am worried that there are relatively severe gaps in my knowledge/skillset that I can work on so i can try to hit the ground running as much as possible.
