MSF Admission chances for Tulane, Vanderbilt, U Florida, U Texas

Long time stalker, first time poster, just wanted to say this site has been very helpful in researching finance careers and B-schools.

I'm a Junior economic major at a large public school in the South East. I'm getting ready to apply to graduate schools, and was hoping for some input on my admission prospects. So far the schools i'm most interested in are Tulane (Nola), Vandy, Florida, and Texas.

My Stats:
GPA: 3.9
GMAT: 670-700 (estimate based on practice tests, taking test in few weeks)
Internship experience conducting research for large public corporation
Various leadership positions in fraternity, econ/finance clubs, etc.....

  • Due to money reasons i transferred schools my junior year, my original school was a fairly prestigious top 25 public school.

Thanks for any help.

Derivs:
Ummm, when a friend of mine inquired about the program at UF they asked for a 700 GMAT min. Also, many of the kids from there have a mid 700s score. Of course there are exceptions. Admissions is a lot about fit since the classes are usually small.

I know the Florida program is fairly small and one of the better ones in the south, but i'm surprised they would get a lot of people with that high of a GMAT score.

If you didn't go to Florida for undergrad you will have a hard time getting into Florida. They say they are unbiased, but looking at their historic classes you see the vast majority are Florida undergrads.

Derivs:
The resumes of the most recent classes are publicly available on the site.

Thanks, I found the class profile/ resumes for UF but not for Vandy or Tulane. Do you know if they also post class resumes?
