Native American and URM Programs
I was wondering how a bank verifies the vaildity of a URM recruiting candidate. For the BB banks, if you apply saying you are a Native American (I'm 1/8th) do you need to give a tribal roll #/CDIB card number. I never have registered for a CDIB card and was wondering if I needed to.
Also I look pretty white
Go fuck yourself. People like you are the reasons why affirmative action programs suck so much.
Why should a bank care if you're native american? Banks should definitely promote diversity and show no tolerance towards any kind of racial discrimination... and that's why nobody should give a f* of whether you're native american, caucasian, hispanic or whatever... People should be expected to be efficient. Period.
Why should they care...they shouldn't. But they do.
The reasons banks care about diversity are:
A) there are a lot of limousine liberals on Wall Street, and it pays to keep them happy B) the costs of any potential lawsuit (and public opinion hit) far outweigh the cost of hiring a few extra analysts C) they get to look good
Banks care less about URM than you think. They can get talented URM candidates without looking so its not a big deal if you are or not
