Can someone shed some light on the volatility, expected return, EBITDA multiple and relative WACC for the 3 O&G verticals?

Aren't you interviewing for a lateral position? you should know that WACC for upstream is always 10% (this is fixed, no questions asked).
I have no O&G knowledge, I'm literally trying to learn as much about it before my interview next week. Can you explain why?
This is wrong. PV-10 is a commonly quoted metric but not a direct proxy for WACC, nor is it the only discount rate used. Depending on valuation methodology used, you risk or discount reserves differently based on rescats to get to a net asset valuation.
Interesting. I thought it was always 10%. I actually was asked about this in the interview recently and said that lol, got the offer too so thought that was correct. My bad.
Dude you’ve been all over the map applying for banking jobs for 6 months.
energy isn’t randomly going to work out if you have no prior experience
As someone in the industry, I'd also call out that if you aren't passionate about the industry and/or don't have ties in Texas, would avoid.
I understand. I have interviewed for O&G at a MM before and despite no real passion or ties to Texas, I was able to get the offer. Didn't take the offer for various reasons, and it seems like O&G team always put a huge emphasis on fit and interest.
Well, I agree. Now, I have two options, stay in my current team and be miserable. Or, I apply to other IB roles. The VPs give me a interview, so I can either take the interview and prepare or I decline the interview and get nothing. So, I'm not exactly sure what you point is. I don't need someone to give me life advice, would appreciate any information that's helpful for O&G interviews.
Dude you’re a dick. You’re not getting a good energy IB job with no industry knowledge.
this sounds like a valuation role anyway considering you were trying to work at BTIG
