Newb needs some help
Hi there. I graduated with a degree in economics from a non target school. Worked a year as logistics associate at a brewery and now I am looking to get into investment/hedge fund after reading my boy Ray Dalio's book. However, a degree in economics didnt really teach me anything about investment at all. Therefore, I am wondering if the community could point me a way to getting myself started in this industry. In this meantime, I will prolly work as an accountant just so I dont starve to death. Im working on CFA lvl 1 and am going to take it this December. Didnt work hard at all during college and now im paying the price. :( HELP A BROTHER OUT. BE A BROTHER'S KEEPER! THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!

Hey thanks for your reply. and sorry for my late reply. Do I even have a shot at these summer programs since I am out of school already.
Aim for an MBA. The CFA is a good move and could potentially get you some interview at some funds (albeit probably not for FO positions). Look into your alumni base and reach out to some to people working in the industry for an informational interview. If you really want to do this it will be an uphill battle unless you have a solid network you can leverage.
