No tech background for tech consulting?
Hi y'all! I'm a target school junior applying to consulting internships. I am mainly interested in the tech privacy policies, since I have an academic background in the area. I'm looking at applying to Digital McKinsey, Deloitte tech, PwC forensics, APT, etc.
However, I don't have a "tech" academic background per se (I study Statistics and Political Science, as opposed to compsci or engineering). Since most roles I'm looking at to are somewhat generalist anyways, should I apply to the non-tech departments instead to raise my chances? Everyone I know admitted by Deloitte tech are engineers, but I don't have personal contact with former interns at Digital McKinsey nor PwC Forensics.
Thanks for all the help!
