Off-cycle internship versus double majoring

Hey guys, i'm a junior at one of the top 10 unis.

I recently secured a S&T internship for one of the BBs in Hong Kong and was wondering if I should do an off-cycle internship for winter quarter. (Our school adopts the quarter system - has fall, winter, spring quarter) I have no prior banking experience and think that doing a PE internship for 3 months will give me some leverage to work in possibly IBD or PE in the future if I end up not liking S&T in the summer. The main reason I want to do this is because I have no relevant exp in banking and want to build my resume ( I was really really lucky to secure a FO internship position at a BB this year with no exp or whatsover)

However, if I do this, I won't be able to double-major in math & econ because the internship disrupts one of the sequence courses. Some of my friends tell me that I should intern for more experience, and some tell me to just stay in school and take relevant math/stats class that teach how to price options and etc.

I would greatly appreciate it if you guys give me some advice. Thanks.
