Partners Group Private Equity Analyst Program
I've noticed on Linkedin that Partners Group has taken Private Equity Analysts in the past in its NYC and Denver offices. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Yep, they started doing this a few years back. Outside of the ~20 undergrads total that go straight to MF PE full time, their analyst program is one of the best ways to hop into PE straight out of college. Know they took kids who summered GS, BAML among others for their incoming class, have heard good things.
If you are set on solely doing PE buyouts, and you have strong banking options, I would recommend taking the banking offer. It is a rotational program between roughly 10 or so teams and realistically only 2 teams do true LBO style buyouts of operating businesses (PE infrastructure and PE direct teams).
If you aren't sure and just want to start on the buy side it's a strong option, as you can move through their business lines in both a secondary/coinvest capacity and in a direct capacity (real estate, debt, infrastructure, and PE) in addition to their in house consulting group.
The analysts I know there have significantly better lifestyles than IBD analysts.
Anyone know anything about the application process?
Bumping to follow
they posted it on handshake so apply there
When did they post it? Do you know when the deadline is?
I don't see it on my school's handshake? Might just be that my school isn't a target for them I guess
Adding to associate above, lifestyle is fantastic from what I’ve heard, and there is good mobility between groups and investing practices, so you will get exposure into of the PE/RE/Infra directs teams if you want it
Application closes July 24; 1st & 2nd round phone screens in late July/early August. Virtual super day Sept 2 & 3
Have heard similar to the comments above. Base pay is roughly above street or high end of street relative to banks coming out of undergrad but total comp isn't sufficient to keep people. I guess that's the trade off for superior work/life balance.
Agreed, if you have a good banking offer, take it.
As someone who's worked with them in their capacity as both an LP and a direct investor (i.e. their PE group), I would advise you to stay far away. They are pedantic idiots. Avoid and take the banking offer.
Care to expand on this? I have heard quite the opposite from colleagues. Just curious as to your experience with them.
