Pass/Fail Class?

My school announced today that we could pass/fail classes for this semester.

I might be making a B in one of my classes, and was wondering if a pass on my transcript looks worse than the B? would this affect me down the line if I were to apply to B-school?

The class is a core requirement not related to my major if that makes a difference.

No one cares when applying to jobs and no one will even see your transcript during recruitment (only for background checks after you've gotten the offer). On the other hand, B-schools is a different story and that may actually have an impact. My advice is to take full advantage of the pass/fail option and get your GPA as high as possible and then coast the rest of college

What’s the lowest your GPA can be coming from a non target and applying to HBS/GSB? Assuming BB->MF PE route
